Chapter I · The Division Doctrine

Divisions are not departments. They are covenants.

The House does not speak of departments. Departments are the language of bureaucracy. The House speaks of divisions — covenanted operating arms, each with its own officer, its own assay, and its own engraving on the stone.

Every division of the House is governed by the discipline of execution. The execution is measured; the measurement is assayed; the assay is engraved. What is not engraved is not executed.

The Division Doctrine is the second discipline of the House. It is the discipline that separates institutions that operate from those that merely exist. An institution without divisions is an institution without execution.

We do not manage departments.

We covenant divisions.
